This service is helping hundreds who have difficulty with medication management  stay at home longer and feel more independent, while helping family and caregivers lower costs and increase quality of care . The MD2 model provides interactive 2-way voice communication to let the client know to take their medication at the prescribed time.  And it can be connected to the CareLink®, so that the client not only has programmed med dispensing, but also has pendant activated 24-hour assistance from the support center for any emergencies or concerns that may arise.

MedReady+ is an innovative service from the Senior Health Advantage which makes medication management easy and affordable.

This service offers clients more cost-effective medication management compared to the MD2, and helps those who have moderate medication management difficulty and are prescribed to less medications.

Each MedReady+ is equipped with a wireless interface, allowing it to communicate with the CareLink Personal Emergency Response System when combined.

Anytime a medication is missed, the MedReady+ alerts the CareLink® unit. The CareLink® unit automatically calls the 24/7 Support Center attendants, who can then talk directly to the client via the CareLink and determine if the client needs assistance with his or her medication.

The MD2 has scheduled dispensing times (up to 6 doses daily) with digital voice prompts.  It can also be programmed with added voice reminders such as "Take medications with food" or "Time for your insulin" - up to 20 different voice reminders can be programmed to ensure that medications are taken properly.

Loading or adding additional cups to the MD2 is easy and can be performed as needed by family members or caregivers using the supplied medication cup loading station.

The keyed access door opens to a convenient touch pad. The front LCD message screen and instructional voice prompts guide you through the simple cup loading procedure.

The MD2, when combined with the CareLink®,  allows family members or healthcare professionals access to web-based compliance reporting. By entering a username and password, they can  view specific information relevant to the current operating status of the MD2, as well as recent dispensing history, support center intervention/actions taken, and days remaining until the machine needs to be refilled.
